Maderos Tannat
We conceived this wine from the vineyard. In a very special place, plot #35, over
20 years old, at our Los Cerros estate. Here we carry out vineyard work always
seeking excellence in pruning, budding, cluster thinning, and leaf stripping.
Conceived and crafted in our facilities that showcase the most modern aspects of
the industry alongside the greatest historical heritage of Uruguayan viticulture.
The emblematic variety of Uruguay, crafted in Italian stone and cement tulips that
allow for micro-oxygenation throughout the fermentation process and accelerate
the maturation of this great wine.
Very intense red color with bluish tints. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits,
spices, cassis, and the subtlety of oak. In the mouth, the firm texture of an
exponent that makes its presence felt, filling the mouth with pleasant sensations
and a long, intense, unique finish. A wine with great aging potential.
Winemaking:
Selection of clusters, pressing, cooling, vatting, and fermentation in tulips at
controlled temperatures and with native yeasts from our vineyards.
Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished and prior to the malolactic fermentation,
the wine rests for 12 months in new French oak barrels, where we control the
natural malolactic fermentation.
After this time, the blend of different barrels is made, it is very gently filtered,
bottled, and aged in stacks for 12 more months.
Food Pairing Suggestions:
All types of meats—roasted, oven-baked, stewed
fatty and sharp cheeses.
If you simply share it, it will surely tell a beautiful story, like those of the immigrants
who did wonders in our area and made Uruguay great. It will make you dream.
