Lahusen Riesling
Grapes from our vineyards formed from the degradation of the bedrock of Los
Cerros de San Juan. It presents a mineral fraction, an organic one, and the soil
itself. Of low vigor, poor, rocky, light, and with good drainage; it is there where
Riesling finds its best evolution.
A variety originally from the Rhine region of Germany, brought from there by our
founders.
Of a very soft yellow color with greenish tones, primary aromas, white fruits, freshly
cut grass, somewhat pyrazinic; in the mouth sharp, with significant natural acidity,
fresh, mineral, eternal.
Winemaking:
Traditional, hand-harvested in mid-February; we select the clusters, destem, cool,
and press.
Alcoholic fermentation at temperatures not exceeding 15°C, induced with selected
yeasts until reaching minimum residual sugar, in our modern amphorae brought
especially from Italy for this operation (fermentation with micro-oxygenation),
allowing for the acceleration of the maturation of the wine treated there.
Food Pairing Suggestions:
Due to its natural acidity, it pairs well with fatty meats (all), as well as fish, shellfish, and will be a great appetizer in summer.
