DE LA COLONIA
This wine comes from the “West Triangle” where within a 62-mile ratio we find the historic sites of Calera de las Huérfanas, the Narbona Chapel, the Anchorena Park and the Los Cerros de San Juan Winery. Since its birth, it arrives in Colonia Del Sacramento as the wine that carries a cultural testimony, a hallmark of the interaction between people and landscape. DE LA COLONIA pays tribute to the area where this wine comes from.
GOLETA-(schooner)
This line of wines looks back on those days in the mid-nineteen century, when the founders of Los Cerros de San Juan, brought to Uruguay, on their schooner- goleta - called “Aldelheit” (which means Nobility), the barrels that would enrich their wines with a very personal and differentiated flavor that they had acquired over two months at sea. At present we have brought from France, barrels of similar characteristics where the wine rests for 6 months, prior to its stowage in bottles. The GOLETA continued brushing the waters of the Atlantic and the Barra del Río San Juan until the beginning of the 20th century.
